A continuous coil lets an installer cut the required length at the point of use. Compared with joining shorter lengths, this can reduce fittings, offcuts and assembly work. Route length, bend radius, access and handling still need to be planned before selecting a coil.
Fluidline’s supplied coiled-tubing literature describes seamless stainless steel and high-nickel alloy options from ¼″ to ¾″ OD, with varying wall thicknesses and continuous lengths up to 750 metres. Maximum coil length depends on the selected material and dimensions; request confirmation for your line item.
Information for a coil quotation
| Requirement | Include in your enquiry |
|---|---|
| Tube | Material grade, seamless specification, OD and wall thickness |
| Length | Required continuous length per coil and number of coils |
| Installation | Minimum route bend radius, access and support requirements |
| Service | Fluid or gas, working pressure, temperature and external exposure |
| Documentation | Required inspection certificate, heat traceability and project documents |
Coil handling and installation

Support the coil while paying it out and protect the tube from abrasion. Use suitable straightening, bending and cutting equipment for the material and dimensions. Prevent twisting and local kinks; reject damaged sections rather than trying to hide deformation inside a fitting.
Long tubing does not remove the need for supports, expansion allowances or pressure testing of the completed system. Review routing and support spacing as part of the installation design.

Frequently asked questions
Is every coil supplied in a 750-metre length?
No. Up to 750 metres is the range described in the Fluidline product sheet. Available length depends on size, wall thickness and material.
Are coils only for instrumentation?
They can also suit other fluid and hydraulic control services where the material, pressure capability, routing and connection system have been verified.
